Sol Anzorena was born in the Andes Mountains of Argentina and grew up in southern Spain. Unsure of what to pursue in college, she took a backpacking trip to South America in which she started to paint murals, solidifying her dedication to art. She then studied art in different universities in Spain (UGR), Poland (UAP), and Brazil (UFBA). She acquired her undergraduate Fine Arts degree in 2019. Her photography has appeared in publications such as Vogue, Humana Obscura and The Sun Magazine. She loves designing and crafting beaded earrings inspired by the birds and insects of the North Woods. Sol and her husband, Tom Grotewohl, are self-publishing a 160-page graphic novel entitled Reynard the House-Wolf, which was fully illustrated by Sol. They both now live in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan with their beloved dogs, Reynard and Shanti.
